Dan and I switched out last night and he came into the hospital to spend the night with Ben. It looks like they're coming home today! Ben had a good night last night - he needed a bit of blow-by oxygen, but for the most part is on the upswing of this virus. So the docs think he's fine to go home. We have oxygen at home, so if he needs it for the next few nights we're all set. I think everyone just wanted to be sure that he's getting better and not worse.
It looks like Dan and Jack both have the same thing - Jack's been having some rough nights as well. But it's nothing like Ben, so no hospital time (hopefully) for him. He seems to be about 2 days behind Ben on this thing. He's having lots of coughing and we're doing albuterol treatments for him at night. Hopefully he starts feeling better soon.
Dan and I are pretty wiped out. It feels like we never got a chance to catch up from our stay at CHOP and then this hit. Maybe we'll get some sleep this weekend. We had a real date planned for yesterday, with a sitter and everything (our first time ever to get a sitter). We had to postpone that, but we're going on that date for sure! If everyone is well then we'll go next weekend. I think RSV has to be the worst Valentine's Day gift ever! Hope everyone is well. Let's all think "Spring" - can't wait!
